Charlotte received a first in Management Consultancy. This module gave direct experience of working through a business problem situation.

During a module in Operations Management Charlotte worked through a group project arriving at a ten year hypothetical plan for a well known aircraft engine manufacturer. This was a Rolls Royce sponsored module and Charlotte and her team received an Academic Excellence Award.

Other key areas studied include Business Strategy, Law for Management, Information Systems, Marketing, Management Accounting and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Charlotte has excellent communication and time management skills and a flair for devising business solutions during long term projects.

Career Background:

Charlotte has worked for a number of hotels and bars both part and full time. This has given her a good understanding of the importance of communication in solving business issues in multidisciplinary environments.

The retail industry is another area where Charlotte has work experience. This allows her to relate to employees working on the shop floor and helps her to understand any resistance to business change/ development they may face.

First Year of a French and Management Degree (40 credits French).
OCR Entry Level Certificate in Business Language Competence (Spanish).
ABC Entry Level Certificate in Practical Languages (Entry 3) Spanish.

Comments:

She loves to travel and has spent four seasons working on the Balearic island of Mallorca. In her gap year she travelled to Thailand and France. This helps to provide her with an international view of the business world.

Cooking and dining out are Charlotte’s major personal interests. This is one of the reasons why she has enjoyed working in the hospitality industry in recent years.

Charlotte enjoys supporting local charities and organisations, both back ‘home’ in Norfolk and in Sheffield. For example, she has organised events fundraising for Dereham Cancer Care Centre and Sheffield’s Children’s Hospital.
