Key Skills & Services:

Trevor is an experienced business professional, comfortable dealing at Board level. His skills are in Marketing and Sales, including Business Development in export markets. He can develop programmes for increasing sales, including lead generation, organising and motivating sales teams, prioritising target accounts and coaching in how to win business. As a full member of the management team, he has a good appreciation of Finance, HR, and Operations matters and can identify issues and brief other experts. He writes practical Business and Marketing Plans, obtain Board approval, and then implement them. In particular, he is offering UK SME’s support in getting access to the substantial opportunities being generated by the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.

Career Background:

Trevor has worked at senior level at large multinational companies (Xerox, Motorola, Sema Group, GPT), and several smaller companies. Until he started his own consultancy in 2006 he was on the Board of Innovision R&T plc, an AIM listed public company. He has usually had the role of Sales and Marketing Director, and his track record includes many instances of improved sales. He has managed Sales and Marketing teams, hired and fired, developed incentive schemes, introduced pricing plans, managed external agencies (Advertising, PR) and exhibition appearances, and spoken at many conferences. He has personally managed large contract negotiations, mostly in export markets; and he has chaired several industry working groups. By sitting around the Boardroom table of smaller companies Trevor knows what the issues are, yet he also has experience of the more structured approach of larger organisations.

Industry sectors:

Semiconductors, Electronics, Telecommunications, Transport systems, Payments, Computer systems, Broadcasting, Office equipment, Healthcare, Smart Cards, Event Ticketing, RFID.

Qualifications:

B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Science, Manchester.

Comments:

Since 1994, Trevor has been involved at the forefront of electronic ticketing for Transport Operators. Through his participation in, and chairmanship of industry working groups, he has played his part in the modernisation of Public Transport. He has travelled to every continent on business and takes a keen interest in the culture, history, and business practices of other countries. For relaxation, he has done extensive genealogical research – his ancestors composed the chimes for Big Ben and marched with Bonnie Prince Charlie.
