Career Background: |
Alan was MD of a plc subsidiary for twelve years.
The company distributed electro-mechanical components and production
equipment and had been making losses prior to his appointment. This
was reversed during the first year of his tenure and the company
remained profitable with turnover increasing from £3m to over
£11m.
Prior to that Alan was MD of a UK sales, marketing and distribution
company for a German manufacturer of enclosures. Turnover increased
ten fold and duties included two relocations and the implementation
of new computer systems as the company expanded.
He has been involved with selling instrumentation to industrial,
government and military organisations and has been an independent
consultant specialising in the marketing of industrial control equipment.
Alan has also had 10 years experience as Trustee of two pension
funds. |
