Career Background:

One of the founder members of a start-up semiconductor company, raising two rounds of private finance leading to a flotation on the London AIM market. As Sales Director, Paul was responsible for the development and implementation of the world-wide sales strategy, building the European sales team and setting up independent sales channels across Europe and SE Asia.

Set up and ran the sales and marketing office in Hong Kong to target and support major clients in China, Taiwan, Korea and Singapore. Extensive travel throughout SE Asia, especially China, gaining design wins in electronics developers and manufacturing companies.

Founded own sales and marketing consultancy taking on numerous contracts within the technology industry. Contracts included business development, major account penetration and market analysis across a range of products and technologies including industrial computers, software, semiconductors, electronic components and eCommerce web-site development.

Founder and CEO of a company created to manufacture and distribute sophisticated computer modules to the European research and University community. Sales were achieved through independent sales channels across Europe. Funding for the project was gained from 3i.

Paul spent 17 years with one of the largest electronics component distributors in the UK, (Jermyn Distribution), initially as a sales engineer and manager, then moving into product marketing and product management becoming sales director in 1980. From 1985 to 1989 Paul was promoted to Managing Director of a sister electronics company within the group.
