Paul is a senior financial manager (Chartered Accountant)
with experience of managing and improving small and medium-sized
businesses in a variety of sectors. He has worked significantly
in Asia and Europe and has maintained responsibility for day to
day financial, operational and administrative matters including
financial and management accounting, implementing ERP systems and
accounting packages, improving financial systems and controls, project
management, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, preparation of business
plans for funding or other requirements, cashflows, budgets, outsourcing
accounts functions, and man-management of up to 65 staff. He has
undertaken financial due-diligence exercises from both the acquirer
and seller viewpoint and is keen to implement bottom-line improvements
within any organisation.

Career Background: |
Recently Paul has spent 9 months working as an interim
Managing Director in Mumbai for one of the world’s largest
advertising groups listed on both Paris and New York stock exchanges.
Here he had operational and financial responsibility for running
a Shared Service Centre (65 staff) responsible for all back office
functions of Indian group subsidiaries and during this time also
managed the implementation of a major ERP system involving over
600 users throughout the country. Previously he worked for 5 years
as Finance Director at subsidiary board level within a London stock
exchange listed group operating in the IT industry (he was responsible
for the original sale of this subsidiary to the Holding Company)
where he also managed an offshore development subsidiary based in
Delhi.
Prior to this he spent a number of years operating as a financial
consultant, reviewing and controlling international projects within
the leisure, hospitality and property sectors, undertook due diligence
exercises and also listed a company on NASDAQ. He gained significant
exposure and experience in earlier years through holding senior
financial positions within multinational blue-chip organisations
including RTZ, Lombard (National Westminster Bank) and Ladbrokes.

Paul is an experienced financial manager who has
worked in a variety of sectors and has helped improve organisations
with which he has been involved. He is a practitioner of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic
Programming - the study of human excellence), having studied with
Paul McKenna Training, and believes this can also be used by SME
owners to help identify and achieve their goals.
On a personal level he is an avid Yoga student which he practises
in conjunction with meditation on a regular basis and one of his
goals is to set up and fund a charity for educating poor children. |
