Starting a Business
Don't chance it.
If you're starting a business, get sound advice from ibd
first.
The Department of Trade and Industry estimate that in the next
twelve months 500,000 new businesses will start up in the United
Kingdom.
It is also acknowledged that:
- The most vulnerable time for a business is in the first twelve
months of operation.
- Fewer than 40% of all new businesses seek any advice prior to
setting up.
- Fewer than 30% of all new owners and managing directors of new
businesses have any experience of running a small or medium sized
company.
- 80% of new businesses that fail, do so through lack of business
expertise.
- Less than 40% of all start-up businesses survive into their
second year.
In view of this information ibd are offering the
following:
- A visit from an approved Adviser, completely free of charge
or obligation on your part, to assess the viability and the feasibility
of the venture on behalf of the principals.
- Assistance with the preparation of business plans, cashflow
forecasts, cash needs, marketing plans and sales plans, premises
suitability, arranging finance if necessary, using government
and local schemes where applicable, negotiations on behalf of
the principals with financial backers etc.
- Following the successful launch of the new company a further
twelve months support will be available on the Business Development
Programme.
Don't chance it. If you're starting a business,
get good advice first.
